Use this checklist when reviewing subcontractor RAMS before work starts.

This tool supports a review and coordination process. It does not transfer the contractor's responsibility for the accuracy and suitability of their own RAMS.

## Coordination Checks

- [ ] RAMS aligns with the construction phase plan.
- [ ] Site rules, induction arrangements and emergency arrangements are reflected.
- [ ] Interfaces with other contractors are identified.
- [ ] Public, client, tenant or occupier interfaces are controlled.
- [ ] Delivery, storage, waste and traffic routes are suitable.
- [ ] Permit requirements are identified and linked to sequence steps.

## Content Checks

- [ ] Scope and site location are specific.
- [ ] Significant hazards are complete for the work package.
- [ ] Controls are proportionate to the actual risk.
- [ ] Method statement steps implement the risk controls.
- [ ] Residual risk scores are credible after controls.
- [ ] Competence, supervision and inspection evidence are named.
- [ ] Emergency and rescue arrangements are task-specific.
- [ ] Briefing and sign-on record is included.

## Red Flags

- [ ] Generic site address or missing work area.
- [ ] Controls say "wear PPE" without upstream controls.
- [ ] Method sequence does not mention the highest-risk hazards.
- [ ] Permit-to-work requirement missing.
- [ ] Emergency arrangements say only "call 999".
- [ ] No named supervisor or competent person.
- [ ] No link to site rules or construction phase plan.
